For Reegene and Kirk, the journey of getting married was a bit rockier than for most couples. They initially planned to have their wedding in the Philippines but as the pandemic closed the borders, they settled on a New Zealand wedding. Things weren't simple in New Zealand either, as Auckland went back into lockdown right before their initial wedding date forcing them to postpone. To comply with the restrictions on gatherings, these two went ahead with a micro wedding instead of their original plan. On a positive note, the new wedding date happened on a day when the Kumeu Valley Estate cherry trees were in full bloom, creating a gorgeous backdrop for wedding photography.
This couple stole our hearts. They pushed through a difficult time and managed to pull together such a heart-warming, beautiful small wedding. Having known each other for over 15 years, emotions stirred and tears flowed during the wedding ceremony when they finally said "I do". We couldn't be happier to have been their Auckland wedding photographer and wedding videographer capturing such a beautiful day for them.
