Ella & Brendan are Kerikeri locals and although they live in Auckland, they always wanted a Bay of Islands wedding in  beautiful Northland, close to family.

They had a very busy year with all life events happening - building a house in Kerikeri and selling it to buy a house in Auckland, Ella starting a new job while Brendan busy with his role at Air New Zealand.

Family is everything to both Ella and Brendan and hence they chose to have their ceremony in Ella's mum's magnificent property in Paihia, on a hilltop overlooking the stunning Bay of Islands. We had the opportunity to visit them the day before and preparations were in full swing. It was great watching everyone working hard to set the place up, using flowers and plants from Ella's mum's garden to decorate the place and make some last minute styling adjustments. As a northland wedding videographer, these details of family working in unison are just amazing to capture.

Filming a northland wedding video was a great opportunity for us and the wedding day itself was a classic kiwi affair. The boys went for an early morning swim in Paihia while the girls stayed at a stunning villa in Opua by the ferry terminal. Ella's dad picked her up in Lulu, the vintage family car and as you can see in the wedding video, it looks stunning. The weather was on our side as Ella walked down the isle with her dad to beautiful live music and Brendan's tears.

Melanie Vezey was the celebrant and she definitely knew how to use the right words to make the ceremony special. The vows were very personal and just showed us how these childhood sweethearts fell in love and decided to make the biggest commitment to each other.

The party at Opua Cruising Club was just as amazing as the rest of the day. We were treated to some really nice speeches, the food was fantastic and the dancing magical.

Kind words:

"Rohan and Laura are the dream team. They filmed, edited and delivered the most incredible wedding video that captured 'us' so perfectly. Their communication is impeccable, they are friendly, enthusiastic and easy going. I was slightly anxious that having two videographers plus a photographer would feel a bit like paparazzi, but they were so discreet I hardly remember them being there. Nothing was a problem, including when I asked for a couple of small edits (personal preference) to be made. The video was delivered on time which was an incredibly quick turnaround and the end result speaks for itself. Thank you Rohan and Laura, you have given us memories to last a lifetime!"
